THE DISTRICT OF POLAND AND AMERICA is a territory of both The United States of America and The Republic of Poland. The District of Poland and America is often shortened to the D.P.A.. The D.P.A. is, basically, a type of micro-nation. While it does not act like a complete and free nation like The Republic of Molossia, the D.P.A. is a form of a territory—more of a district— of parts of Poland and America.
It is located in Sherwood, Arkansas, United States, and was made an official district-territory on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Monarchy Mansion(also the Capital Building) at 3:00PM. This was the exact moment and place that Queen Anne was crowned. She also is the first Monarch. The District has many official things, like a Coat of Arms, Flag, Capitol, and more.
THE GOVERNMENT
is a Direct Democracy and a constitutional Monarchy. And, please notice, a Constitutional Monarchy is a form of a monarchy where the monarch has very little power, and the real government work is done by the rest of the government, which is elected by the people. Most of the government is actually controlled by the American government and the Polish government, depending wether you live in the American or Polish part.
While the D.P.A. is a Direct Democracy, it oddly has a small amount of politicians—2! That is:

Although the government only consists of 2 people, it is still very democratic, because the government almost always has elections for new laws for the people to decide on.
THE CULTURE OF THE D.P.A.
The people is made up of only family members of the DPA. The population is roughly 110, as it is scattered into regions. A region here is a family members home/property. The leader of each region is ruled in a democratic system lead by the most important person of its land, like one of the parents. The family names of the DPA are “Funkhouser”(a Polish name) and “Gullick”(another Polish name). Parts are in America, while some are in Poland, as there are relatives there. Most people are Christian here, yet it does not matter. The Freedom of Religion is absolutely allowed here. Most people are Caucasian Americans. The people of the DPA are often prosperous and are relatively wealthy with exciting lives. Activities of the Funkhoush and Gullish are things like golf(more on the Gullish side), engineering, camping and vacationing. The Funkhoush and Gullish have, throughout time, have gone very far—some go to places like Hawaii, Europe, Asia, Washington, DC, State Capital cities and more. Many Funkhoush and Gullish have served as doctors, engineers, and soldiers.
HISTORY
The reason the DPA is not an exact micronation is because the founder, Cowen Funkhouser, figured that making his home a complete free country was a bit silly and nearly impossible!—yet a territory is more realistic and possible.
It basically started in mid 2020, when Funkhouser was inspired by the Windsors of Britain, he decided to crown his dog the queen of the family. Nothing else. No medals, no real government, no symbols. All what Funkhouser remembers as being in a serious country form was that he made a cardboard crown for the dog, and he wore a blue paper sash.
Yet this grew. Later, he learned more about government, monarchs, military medals, history and more. He then decided to get serious. He got military medals and uniforms for about a year plus of searching, made national symbols, a Royal Armed Forces(RAF), until…
Unfortunately, Queen Izzybeth I had died in August 2025. A Royal Funeral was held, and the first Queen is now buried in the capital city.
Now, this was getting serious. He got only fancy decorations for his bedroom to look like a palace, started having meetings with Queen Anne, and more. Funkhouser has even decided to not make Izzybeth the first actual Queen of the DPA—he thought of this as unrealistic for a serious territory. Anne is the actual first monarch of the DPA.
Now this is what it has led to—relatively successful and enjoyable. Sir Federalist(Cowen Funkhouser) often goes on camping trips and to state capital buildings—almost always in military uniform.
NATIONAL SYMBOLS
The flag represents both of the Polish and American sides of the DPA. The background is the Polish flag, and the center is a blue canton, like the US’s flag has. The 4 stars are a nationally important symbol. They represent the 4 main ideas of the DPA:
- The Monarch
- The Government
- The People
- The liberty
The Coat of Arms is also an important symbol. The top crown represents the monarch, and it is also a picture of the first State Crown. The four flags are the flags of Arkansas, the US, Poland and the DPA. The top 50 golden strands are for the US’s 50 states, and the background is for the 16 states of Poland. The Orange is the Royal and national color. The shields four signs are four each of the 4 stars. The Motto is “Boze, Chron Nas Wszystkich”. This is Polish for “God Save us All”.
The national animal is the Fox.

INTERESTING SITES
Probably the most famous site of the DPA is the districts only State Park:
Hoonoes State Park.
This park was established in August 2024. It is currently about 3 acres wide, and is operated by the National Property Guard(it’s like the National Park Service).
It is well known for its treehouses, cabins and trails. It offers camping and touring, and hosts festivals.
